Immigration and Residency Procedures
In order to stay in Japan for long period or even for a short period of time, foreigners require a valid status of residence. Application for issuance of a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to Japanese Immigration Bureau is needed in order to obtain a status of residence, accordingly, to change the status or renew the status, it requires to be applied for. These procedures are complicated to execute for foreigners. Therefore, there are notary public to support foreigners for the procedure or perform the procedure as their proxy.

Application for Naturalization（Japanese Citizenship for Foreigners）
The application for naturalization requires a considerable amount of effort and time, due to the large number of documents that need to be prepared and submitted to the Immigration Bureau, and extraordinarily longer document examination period. The person also needs to appear at the Legal Affairs Bureau to apply for naturalization. We will help you with advice and document preparation so that the procedure goes smoothly.
Acquisition of Japanese Nationality（For foreign-born Japanese Nationalities）
There is a procedure for foreign-born children to acquire Japanese Nationality. However, there are certain requirements such as the person needs to be under the age of 18, should be recognized as a child to Japanese Citizenship holder father, etc. If one meets the requirement, Japanese Nationality can be acquired through the procedure. The submission of application should be made to Japanese Ministry of Justice.
Visa application
Foreign nationals planning to enter Japan for sightseeing, visiting acquaintances / relatives, or for business purpose need to obtain a short-term stay visa. We can also support with short-term visa application documents.
Special residence permit / provisional release application
About illegal immigrants, there are exceptional cases that the Minister of Justice grants their stay in Japan in consideration of various circumstances to those who are supposed to be deported from Japan. Or there might be cases that illegal immigrants are detained in immigration bureau and subjected to be released temporarily by looking at their circumstances.
In that condition, they might need an administrative scrivener who has experience and specialized knowledge. Our office can support them to get legal orders of provisional release and exceptional stay.
Establishment of a company / Corporation
We carry out legal procedures for establishing companies and corporations such as joint-stock companies, limited liability companies, NPO corporations, and general incorporated associations.
Used-goods Dealing License（Recycle shop/ Secondhand goods shop）
The used-goods dealing license application is based on Article 3 of the Used-Goods business law, and it is stated that the person/company who conducts this business must obtain the permission of the Prefectural Public Safety Commission for each prefecture in which it is located at.

Legal Specialist Corporation “KAGUYA”
Origin of the name
The name “Kaguya” comes from “Kaguyahime（Princess Kaguya,）” the main character in Japan’s oldest story “Taketori Monogatari”（The Tale of the Bamboo-Cutter）.
What kind of thought went into the name?
Every time I visit Ise, there are shrines that I always visit. These are “Tsukiyomi-no- miya Shrine（a branch of the Inner Shrine、）” and “Tsukiyomi-no-miya Shrine（a branch of the Outer Shrine）. Both shrines are dedicated to Tsukuyomi, the younger brother of Amaterasu Omikami, who rules the God’s world.
In the Kojiki（Records of Ancient Matters in Japan）, it is written that when Izanagi-no-mikoto escaped from the Land of Hades（Yomi-no-kuni）, he performed a purification ceremony in a river, and Amaterasu was born out of his left eye, Tsukuyomi out of his right eye, and Susanoo out of his nose. Thereafter, Amaterasu and Susanoo appear frequently in the Kojiki, and eventually Amaterasu’s descendants became the imperial line, leading up to the current 126th Emperor, Kinjo-Tenno.
Tsukuyomi, however, was regarded as the god who ruled the night, but he has not appeared in the Kojiki since his birth. Where on earth had he gone?
When visiting Ise, most people visit the Outer Shrine and then the Inner Shrine, but I suspect that few people visit Tsukiyomi-no-miya Shrine（月夜見宮）or Tsukiyomi-no-miya Shrine（月讀宮）, which are annexes to the Outer Shrine and the Inner Shrine, respectively. If you have a chance, why don’t you pay a visit?
These two shrines always attract me. When I put my hands together in front of the god Tsukuyomi, I feel an indescribable sense of happiness and gratitude.
Tsukuyomi is the god who rules the night, and the moon is the symbol of the night. The Tale of the Bamboo-Cutter is a story featuring Kaguyahime, who happen to be a girl came from the moon to the earth. I wonder if the people of ancient times also created this story with their thoughts about the “moon” in mind. And Japanese people have been weaving their thoughts from generation to generation, reaching us living today as the oldest story in Japan. I cannot help but think that Tsukuyomi has continued to live among the Japanese people in a different form. I cannot help but think that Tsukuyomi has not gone anywhere, but has been in our hearts. Like the moonlight that reaches everyone gently.
On a different note, one of my favorite songs is “Inochi no Uta”（”Song of Life”）. Singer-songwriter Mariya Takeuchi wrote the lyrics to the song under the name Miyabi.
Nakitai hi mo aru（There are days I want to cry）
Zetsubou ni nageku hi mo aru（And the days of grieving in despair）
Sonna toki soba ni ite（At such times, you stay by my side）
Yorisou anata no kage（Your shadow that nestles close to me）
The word “you” here is like Tsukuyomi to me. You are definitely there, but sometimes we don’t notice you under the bright light. It is when my heart sinks and I feel depressed that you appear in front of me and support me.
Before you flap your wings to the dazzling world
First of all, we want it to be a moonlight that gently illuminates your feet.
This is the reason why we named it “KAGUYA”.
